Legal disclaimer
We explain how accident claims generally work. We can't tell you what to do in your own case.
Not legal advice
Everything here is general information. It isn't legal advice and it's no substitute for a lawyer who knows your facts and the law where your accident happened.
No lawyer-client relationship
Reading these pages or emailing us doesn't make us your lawyer. We're not a law firm and we don't represent anyone.
The law depends on where you are
Deadlines, fault rules, insurance benefits, damage caps and court procedures differ between countries, states and provinces, and they change. A rule that's true in Ontario may be wrong in Texas or England.
No promises
We work hard to be accurate, but we can't guarantee that every page is complete or current for your location, and we can't predict what your claim is worth or how it will end.
If it's urgent
If you or someone else needs medical help, call emergency services. If a deadline may be close, or an insurer wants you to sign a release, speak to a licensed lawyer now. Many offer free first consultations.
